Day 3: A game that is underrated

Phantasy Star Online

This game had some of the best graphics and game mechanics of its time. Now there are only pockets full of gamers who still remember that this little gem exists. Remember playing four player with your friends on split screen? Remember the lady with ridiculous square boobs that you were forced to look at at the bank/item keeping post? Remember the bosses on ultimate? Special Rappies? Phantasy Star Online deserves a medal and all of the pity points. All of them. HAND THEM OVER.

I got a few screenshots of Farrah using the Photon Arts Speed Rain and Trick Rave that I thought I should share.  Speed Rain is a short burst of consecutive slashes that emit a wave; it’s really useful for hitting multiple enemies that are directly in front of you.  Trick Rave only hits almost adjacent enemies, but you toss your partisan in the air and spin it so it hits whatever is in front of you, then you hop up and smash it into the ground beneath.

DC版 Ver.2プレイ時には定かでなかった各種レア情報 (10年後の現在どうでも良い話) を集めてみました:

• レッドリング、リコのメガネ、リコのイヤリングはDFドロップのため出現せず
• 高位マグ細胞「エノ」、高位マグ装甲「ウル」、特殊遺伝子「フロウ」はドロップするも用途なし
• 小銃「ガルド」と小銃「ミラ」をジョイントパーツでガルド・ミラに合成できたらしいが、ジョイントパーツしか見たことがない
• ラヴィス＝ブレイドは出現するがダブル＝ブレイドはお察し
• 封印ノダチがツミキリになったりもしないらしい
• その他Ver.2上位レアのほとんどは「未来へ向かって」でのみ入手可能
• タイトル画面でURAENDINGと入力して真のエンディング？へ

特に最後のエンディングは必見。EP2のあの人も出てきます。
